Our History

Persatuan Rumah dan Perkhidmatan Cheshire Sabah (Sabah Cheshire Home & Services) was officially registered on 16 July 1974. The first Home in Kota Kinabalu was built and officially opened on 29 January 1983 followed by the second Home in Sandakan on 8 April 2000.

 

As the homes grew more program are established:

•  Early Intervention Centre (Sandakan) – 2006
•  Economic Empowerment Program (Kota Kinabalu) – 2010
•  The Treasure Shop (Sandakan) - 2012
•  Taska Mesra Cheshire (Kota Kinabalu) - 2013
•  Cheshire Mobility - 2018
•  Cheshire Laundrette - 2018

Cheshire Services in Malaysia

Persatuan Rumah dan Perkhidmatan Cheshire Sabah (Sabah Cheshire Home & Services) is a member of the National Council Of Cheshire Homes Malaysia, which in turn has membership with Leonard Cheshire Disability Global Alliance.

In Malaysia there are five associations with six Homes, including:

•  Sabah Cheshire Homes -a) Sabah Cheshire Home - Kota Kinabalu b) Sabah Cheshire Home – Sandakan
•  Selangor Cheshire Home
•  Penang Cheshire Home
•  Johor Cheshire Home
•  Sarawak Cheshire Home

All these Homes are managed by its own Council Of Management
